1. Fire Rainbows
Fire Rainbows are neither fire, nor rainbows. This is called rainbows of fire because of its amazing colorful appearance. Form the view of science, it are known as circumhorizontal arc – an ice halo made by hexagonal, plate shaped ice crystals in high cirrus clouds in sky. This halo is so giant that the arc appears as similar to the horizon, so it is named like that. Most common, this appears during the summer and in some particular latitudes. When the sun is at high, sunlight enters flat and hexagon shaped ice crystals get split into different colors just like in a prism. The conditions required to occur a fire rainbow is very precise, as the sun has to be at elevation of 58° or greater than that, also high altitude clouds in sky with plate shaped ice crystals, and sunlight has to enter the ice crystals in a predefined particular angle. Rainbows Fire can be seen on locations in north of 55°N or in south of 55°S.
2. Mammatus Clouds
Mammatus are to be seen as smooth, lumpy lobes of cloud. It is happened because mammatus occurs as a group of lobes. We can found it in The United States. Mammatus are pouch cloud structures and it is rare example of clouds in sky. As wind carry precipitation enriched air to the top of cloud and upward momentum is lost and the air begins to spread in horizontal. Then it becomes a part of the anvil cloud. As the reason of its high concentration of precipitation particles, the air is heavier than the previous air and it sinks back towards the earth. As heat energy is required to melt cloud and spread the particles contained in the shrink air, this warming produced by the motion is quickly used up in the particles. In the case, more energy is required for evaporation, than is generated by the subsidence; the sinking air will be cooler than its surrounding air and will continue to sink downward in sky. This appears below the cloud as a rounded pouch structure is called mammatus clouds.

Blood Falls, the name itself link horror one but in real, it is one of the driest regions of Antarctica, which is fed by an underground. The falls is full of bacteria trapped for millennia in conditions that are extremely inhospitable to life. About two million years back, a small body of water which contained an ancient community of microbes. Trapped below a thick layer of ice, they have remained there since, isolated inside a natural time. It contains no light or free oxygen and little heat. These microbes had no chance of getting energy through photosynthesis. In place of, the microbes which started to leave the minerals which were found in the lake within; it evolves independently of the rest of world. In Actual fact, the water has so much iron in it that it literally rusts when it meets air, giving the waterfall its trademark red color.

Light pillars are none other than a visual phenomenon. In winter season, the reflection of sunlight on little ice crystals creates vertical columns of light which creates pillar like impression in the sky. The different color and size of the light pillars may vary as per distance from where we are seeing this phenomenon. Creating this mind blowing optical effect, which may rivals any Pantone hue. In the right conditions, materialistic objects like street lamps or car lights can produce these wonderful light beams in sky. Light pillars are mostly seen when, the Sun is near the horizon..The ice crystals in the chilled atmosphere reflect the upcoming source light, light pillars. Which are tend to take on the color of the light source. Typically, pillars of light can be seen with frigid temperatures at lower latitudes with help of perfect sunlight angel.
6. Colourful Mountains
The Rainbow or Coloured Mountains of China are located in the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park, China. The park is a geological wonder of the world and adds one more item in our natural phenomena list. These famous Chinese mountains are known for their colors which mimic a perfect rainbow painted over the tops of the mountains. This National Park is mapped in China’s North West direction, which covers around 200 square miles. The site was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. This is the perfect holiday destination for many Chinese and international tourists. There colour of mountain is mainly due to an iron oxide coating and cementation, which is also known as hematite, in the sandstone grains. It creates the same process as a piece of metal is left outside into the rain and forms a different layer of rust in outer layer.
7. Snow Donuts
Wonderful fairy tales like Snow donuts are formed with a clump of snow falls. If all conditions and cool temperature are just in right, as gravity takes over, which pulls the snow down side, and it rolls back itself and creates hole like wheel of snow ice. Generally, the ice collapses and it creates pinwheel like shape of itself. It also creates a shape that resembles a car tire covered with ice. The whole size may be different lengthwise from the canter of ice. As per research, the largest snow donut was about one foot and around 30 centimetres in diameter. This is called real beauty of nature where science needs to bend their knees.
8. Desert Rose
We all have listen song desert rose, but here is something different and unusual of desert. Desert rose is the name given to rose flower like formations of crystal clusters of gypsum. These phenomena include abundant sand and grains of desert. The petals shapes are crystals flattened on the other fanning open in clusters. The rosette crystal is about to form when the crystals form in arid sandy conditions, like as the shallow salt basin. The crystals form a circular array of flat plates, giving its rock a shape similar to a rose blossom. Gypsum roses generally have good appeared sharper petals than barite flower roses. If iron oxides are present, the rose goes on a little different dark rust tone.
9. Spotted Lake
Spotted Lake is a small lake which is rich in a variety of minerals, like calcium, sodium sulphates and magnesium sulphate. In the days of hot summer, most of the water in the lake evaporates, and leaves concentrations of these minerals. All these makes the big polka spots visible in the lake. Throughout the summer, the spots change its size and colour as the minerals. Each change occurs as per different mineral changes in the lake. Colours vary from blue to green to yellow in lack. Colour is totally depending on the mineral makeup of each individual spot. During World War I ammunition was prepared using minerals from this Lake.
10. Sun Dog
Sundog is also known as mock sun, which consists glowing spots around the sun in sky. Sun dogs are creates by sunlight refracting off plate shaped ice crystals in the clouds. Sundogs are the most commonly observed optical phenomena. It can be seen throughout the year and from anywhere in the world. These are associated with 22 degree halos in sky. It is mostly visible when the Sun is close to the horizon of earth. The part of a sundog closest to the Sun is in red color, and the areas far away from the Sun usually appear in blue or green. Lights from the Moon also create the same glowing moon dogs on both sides of the Moon. Moon dogs are not so common as sundogs, because they only creates when it is full moon day or close to full moon day.
