It was a scheduled international passenger flight operated by Malaysia Airlines. The flight was disappeared on March 8 in 2014 while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing Capital International Airport in China. The crew of Boeing 777- 200ER last communicated with Air Traffic Control (ATC) 38 minutes after the take off. That time it was over the south china sea, but it was lost from ATC radar screens. It was investigated by the ministry of civil aviation and ECAA (Egyptian civil aviation agency). As the agency lacked the resources of the much larger U.S national transportation safety board the government of Egypt asked the safety board to handle the investigation.

After some time, Safety board proposed handling the investigation over to the federal bureau of investigation. As the evidence suggested a criminal act and the crash was intentional rather than accidental.

This proposal was unacceptable to Egyptian authorities and NTSB continued to lead the investigations. The NTSB concluded “Not Determined” while the ECAA determined that the incident caused by mechanical failure in the airplane.

3. TWA Flight 800

4. United Airlines Flight 585


It was a scheduled passenger flight on 3 March in 1991 from Denver to Colorado Springs. The aircraft was cleared for the visual approach to the runway and then suddenly rolled to the right and pitched nose down.

The crew of the aircraft tried to initiate a go-around by selecting 15-degree flaps and an increase in thrust. But the altitude decreased rapidly and acceleration increased to over 4G. Then the aircraft crashed into a wide field park less than four miles from the runway at a speed of 245 mph.

The NTSB commenced an investigation which lasted for 21 months. According to the investigation of NTSB it was determined that the crash of flight were the result of a sudden malfunction or the aircraft radar power control unit. On March 27, 2001 NTSB issued a revised final report which found that cause of the crash was because of mechanical malfunction.

5. USA Air Flight 427


It was a scheduled flight from Chicago O’Hare international airport to Pittsburgh international airport, with a destination of west palm beach, Florida. Boeing 737 flying this route on 8 September 1994 was crashed while approaching runway 28R of Pittsburgh airport.

NTSB investigate the accident. According to their investigation it was determined that the probable cause was that the aircraft’s radar malfunctioned and went hard over in a direction opposite to that commanded by pilots. That causes the plane to enter an aerodynamic stall from where the pilots were unable to recover. All 132 people on board died in this accident.

6. Flying Tiger Line Flight 739


It was a Lockheed L-1049 super constellation propliner chartered by the united states military. It was disappeared on March 16, 1962, over the western Pacific Ocean. The craft was transporting 93 U.S. soldiers and 3 South Vietnamese from Travis Air Force Base, California to Vietnam. After refueling at Andersen Air Force base, the super constellation was in route to Clark air base in Philippines when the craft is disappeared.

All 107 person on the flight were declared missing and presumed dead. The disappearance of the aircraft prompted one of the large air and sea searches in the history of the Pacific.

7. Air France Flight 447
